Drill Stations
Drilling technology has advanced to the point where almost any drilling application can be handled on an automated cutting machine. Adding a drill station to a cutting machine then allows production of finished parts in one setup, without having to take the cut parts to a secondary drilling operation.
A wide variety of drill sizes are available. Drill stations must be customized to the application, to ensure there is sufficient horsepower and downward thrust capability in the machine.
Because of the added forces that drilling puts on the cutting machine gantry, ESAB only offers these stations on machines equipped with linear rails, including:
