Deviation error in <n> axis at speed <m>

The deviation D is defined as the difference between the target position value and the actual position value. The deviation is constantly monitored.

The maximum deviation Dmax is defined by the ratio of maximum speed Vmax to control loop amplification LA.

During normal operation, the value of deviation is almost zero, i.e. the machine is located at the position that was calculated beforehand.

Check machine constants. If necessary, carry out a new speed startup. If the error cannot be corrected, inform ESAB service.

If a deviation error occurs, it means that the axis drive was not able to reach the target value given by the control system within one control cycle. The value of the deviation exceeded the maximum deviation.

Possible causes are:

-The velocities measured by the automatic startup of the axes have been changed.

- The direction of rotation of the encoder has been changed.

- Inappropriate data was entered into the machine constants for the control loop amplification.

- The value entered into the machine constant of acceleration time is too small, i.e. the required acceleration is too high.

- The machine ran into an obstacle.

- Drive or encoder has failed.
